London’s original outdoor cinema – the Rooftop Cinema Club – is hosting a Brat Summer inspired by Charli XCX’s new album, Brat. Venues in Peckham and at Roof East, Stratford, provide nostalgic 90s vibes with a range of classic films.

Until the end of August you can enjoy movies from ’99 like Cruel Intentions, Jawbreaker, The Virgin Suicides and 10 things I hate about you. We watched Beautiful woman on Roof East and transported back to the 90s!

They give you warm blankets for those chilly summer nights and noise-cancelling headphones with great sound quality. Popcorn options range from sweet and salty to mixed and salted caramel.

The space is beautiful, with comfortable sun loungers and tables for your snacks. The highlight is enjoying the film while taking in the stunning 360-degree views of Stratford.

Rooftop Cinema Club has two venues in the UK (Peckham and Stratford) and seven venues in the US

Tickets start from £12.95 and can be booked at rooftopfilmclub.com. Considering the unique experience and lively atmosphere, I think it’s worth the price.

Peckham’s Bussey Rooftop Bar is also releasing a new lime green Brat Summer cocktail to match Charli XCX’s album cover. The cocktail is made with vodka, pineapple juice, lemon juice, honey, matcha and a pineapple garnish, and you can get it for £10.50.

We also ate mouth-watering Turkish pizza from one of the three street food stalls at Roof East. I chose the vegetarian option, with cheese, grilled eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes, and it was the perfect movie snack.

Before or after the movie, be sure to explore Roof East’s colorful space filled with miniature golf, pick-a-ball, and other fun games. Please note that there is an additional fee for each game.
