I believe Married at first sight season 18 is likely to have a major mistake that could ruin the season. I have been eager Married at first sight fan for the past five years and have expertise in all seasons and drama on and off screen. Married at first sight Season 17 ended in April 2024 after starting in mid-October 2023, making it the longest season in franchise history. Season 17 was also not well received by fans. It was largely considered a failure because none of the couples stayed together. Also, there was the show’s first runaway bride, which speaks to the show’s poor casting.

The Married at first sight The experts, tasked with matching couples and guiding them through the eight-week journey, have been a trio for three seasons now. Although Dr. Pepper Schwartz premiered and stayed in Season 1 and Reverend Cal Roberson joined in Season 4, Dr. Pia is the newest expert to join the series in Season 15. Their responsibility has been to consider participants, cultural backgrounds, non-negotiables, appearance preferences and personality. However, I think because of their incompetence and the related factor Married at first sight season 18 is doomed.

The MAFS season 18 premiere has finally been announced

MAFS fans can officially anticipate

There was a Married at first sight the season 18 trailer dropped at the end of the season 17 finale and another came at the end of the season 17 Reunion. However, the trailers weren’t official Season 18 trailers and didn’t give away much in terms of cast identities, pairings, or the exact drama the season will face. I know this made fans wait for more news about the season 18 premiere.

Last week, a spoiler about the official premiere was announced. It premieres on October 4, 2024, and will leave fans with a break of almost six months between seasons. Official trailer MAFS however, season 18 hasn’t dropped yet. So while I and the viewers know a bit about what’s to come, and the cast’s Instagram handles, there’s still not much to do in terms of reception. But I do know that the sneak peeks released so far are enough to show that season 18 has a glaring red flag that could be harmful.

Season 18 of MAFS has problematic Cast Members

This is the biggest mistake of season 18

After several disastrous and underperforming seasons Married at first sight season 18 needs to bring in likable actors who aren’t on the show for weight and who really want to find their eternal personas, but I’m sure season 18 won’t bring that. That’s because, judging by the trailers, I’ve noticed that there are problematic cast members who don’t seem ready for marriage or have glaring red flags that mean they shouldn’t have been cast on the show in the first place.

One cast member was filmed with cold feet, reminiscent of the runaway bride fiasco in Season 17, which was a huge credibility issue for the show. Second, there is a very angry and unstable actor who in my opinion clearly lacks emotional intelligence and anger management, two traits that do no good to have in an actor cast for something. In addition, there will be early questions about the longevity of a particular marriage. While bad Casting is the biggest problem, I think it’s exacerbated by the unsuitability of the experts.

“I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m a Hennessy and Coke guy, and there’s no marriage in four weeks.”

Poor casting is a bad reflection on MAFS experts

Experts need to get more than one pair right

The MAFS pundits have dropped the ball once again in season 18. I think before the season even starts, it already has a decision to hold against all three experts. It was their job to not cast questionable characters on the show, and since they have, I know it will ruin the season and viewership after the jump.

How is married at first sight received?

It depends on the quality of the season

Since the official trailer hasn’t dropped yet and first impressions haven’t been done yet, The jury is still out on how the season will make an impression as a wholebut I think the season will be a wash. The same old viewer despairs of having to watch problematic people who shouldn’t have been cast, and couples who aren’t compatible rear their heads. Lifelong‘s Married at first sight season 18 is a disappointment, and I think that’s unfortunate given the hopeful nature of the fanbase.
