Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea is one of the most enjoyable reality shows on TV, but I think the 9th season spin-off is being ruined by the producers. Captain Sandy Yawn once again leads the crew of the Mustique, and while familiar fan favorite Chief Stew Aesha Scott has been a welcome addition, the rest of the cast has been a bit of a mixed bag. Elena “Ellie” Dubaich and Bri Muller fight over mediocre manager Joe Bradley, Bri doesn’t get to do laundry properly, and Ellie might start a war with Aesha over value.

Mess on Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9 doesn’t end there. Chef Johnathan “Jono” Shillingford nearly killed a guest by serving him raw seafood after a rocky start to the ordering season, and Bosu’s Iain Maclean has the worst communication and management skills the franchise has ever seen. Captain Sandy is out of his depth, unable to replace Chef Jono, and calls on new stew Carrie O’Neill as a healthy Mary to save his inner crew. Drama is expected, but the producers have gone too far Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9

Below Deck Med season 9 seems to be more produced compared to past seasons

There are too many production plants

I can’t be the only one watching Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea and to think that the show looks more produced compared to past seasons. It’s no secret that reality TV shows are heavily edited and influenced by producers, but Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9 is out of control. How did chef Jono miss a raw fish and shellfish allergy on the guest sheet? How can Bri be so bad at laundry? Joe walks around the boat in a smelly shirt because Bri can’t get the crew uniforms back to their owners, even though their names are clearly marked.

The alleged producer plants make the presentation look like a lie

Bri must go

Chef Jono and Bri are alleged establishments, and the evidence is pretty clear. There is no way Captain Sandy would allow such incompetence to run rampant on his yacht otherwise. While it looks like there’s no replacement for Chef Jono, it’s likely a way to stir up drama on the show.

Production facilities are destroyed
Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea
; it insults the intelligence of the fans.

Also, even though Captain Sandy stated that she’s never shot an entry-level stew, Bri is terrible. Laundry, although a huge job on a luxury yacht like Mustique, shouldn’t be this difficult. When Bri is given feedback, she simply crumbles. He speaks in a whiny voice and constantly victimizes himself. Why hasn’t Bria been fired? in my opinion Bri is a producer factory who antagonizes Ellie and stirs up drama.

Under the hood, viewers want real drama, not something manufactured

Let the crew members be themselves

Below decks fans want real drama, not something created by the producers. Putting half a dozen twenty-somethings, many of them single, together on a boat for the summer should create enough drama of its own. Producers don’t have to step in to make a cook or stew look bad; they do it themselves all season long.

Chef Jono seems like a competent chef most of the time, and it’s insulting to stir up drama by setting him up to fail. Also, Bri just isn’t entertaining anymore. It’s too obvious that the producers planted him to mess with the others. Hopefully, Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea the producers learned their lesson.
