Opening on Saturday (December 2), Gravy.HoF opened up to a host of excited customers wanting to try everything from sandwiches to ‘the meat tray’ that they offer.
Perfect for warming up in the build-up to Christmas, the new stall offers hearty meals, including pulled beef brisket, and chicken, and also does vegetarian options.
The brand-new stall is the brainchild of the owners of Duke Street’s House of Flavour – so they are already familiar with the town’s foodie scene.
The Gravy.Hof name joins a host of other food venues in Darlington Market.
And it seems that Darlington Market is just as excited that the new stall has arrived, after posting on social media: “New Street Food Stall Alert – Hot Sandwiches, stuffing, roasties… & Gravy!
“@gravy.hof by @houseofflavourinc launched their new stall today, and it couldn’t be better timing with this cold snap!
“Come show some support, and have some delicious food!”
While there was plenty of excitement surrounding the venue, Gravy.HoF isn’t the only new name in Darlington Market.
Urban Deli, a specialist retailer, will be selling a range of products from the 50 miles around Darlington after opening in November.
They hope that it will allow shoppers to ‘support local’ and reduce the carbon footprint of their food miles.
There will be a range of tasty treats on offer from local dairy produce to baked goods.

Ory Vanes, the driving force behind The Urban Deli said: “We’ve been blown away by the reception we’ve had to date.
“We know Darlington Market well, having already seen our other businesses SiDES’s and PP’s go from strength to strength, so opening our third premises here was a natural step.
“We have such great produce in this part of the world and Urban Deli will be showcasing that to locals and visitors alike.”
