The Horrible Histories team are bringing a one-of-a-kind pantomime to Alexandra Palace this December. Horrible Christmas! is set to spread suitably silly holiday cheer between Thursday, December 12 and Saturday, January 4.

The laugh-a-minute show will see a young boy travel through time to save Christmas after it comes under threat from a jolly man dressed in red. With appearances from the likes of Charles Dickens, Oliver Cromwell, Henry VIII, and St Nicholas, this caper is as hilarious as it is educational.

Along the way, children will learn the history of Christmas including why we put up a tree, send cards, buy presents, and eat turkey. Over the course of 95 minutes, they’ll also be treated to slapstick comedy, silly walks, audience participation, and sing-along competitions.

Tickets are on sale now and start at £17.50 but be quick as they are expected to sell out. You can purchase them directly from Alexandra Palace or via Ticketmaster.

No matter which date you attend, you can expect catchy music, “behind you!” moments and plenty of laughter. Horrible Christmas! is just one of the festive fixtures Alexandra Palace has planned for December.

The North London attraction is getting ready for a month jam-packed with ice discos, Wizard of Oz-themed pantomime on ice, and meet-and-greet Santa grotto. They will also be hosting the Paddy Power World Darts Championship from December 15.
