Castrads’ latest radiator takes its name from Emmeline Pankhurst

Castrads’ latest radiator takes its name from Emmeline Pankhurst, and it’s a solid vote-winner

Castrads radiators are a sustainable heating option with a timeless aesthetic. Castrads is committed to working against inbuilt obsolescence, with radiators that are built to last centuries. Castrads is the first radiator company working towards using exclusively recycled iron and mycelium packaging.

Castrads provides innovative technology, like their thermostatic control valves, that encourage people to heat their homes efficiently, reducing energy use and wasted heat. This fully mechanical valve allows you to set the ambient temperature in the room. When the room reaches the desired temperature, the valve closes and the radiator stops heating. The room then cools, the valve opens and the radiator begins to heat again.

With a focus on planned permanence over in-built obsolescence, Castrads has been working toward supplying and manufacturing their own products, designed completely in-house. Emmeline is the second family of radiators made solely by Castrads. It is cast in a fully electric foundry in Europe and manufactured at Castrads HQ in Manchester, UK.

Named after the Manchester-born political activist Emmeline Pankhurst known for being instrumental in securing women the right to vote, this is an updated school radiator designed by Castrads. With a scalloped topline, gentle contours and refined feet, Emmeline is a new take on a long-established style.

Whilst cast iron radiators look at home in period properties, Castrads’ wide range of colours and styles fit seamlessly into more contemporary homes as well. Castrads offers 24 exclusive finishes in their Bare Metal and Signature ranges as well as any colour from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or Benjamin Moore, giving you over 500 colour options.

Castrads offers virtual and on-site consultations, heat loss calculations, design suggestions with colour samples, and expert advice every step of the way. For inspiration follow their Instagram and order a free brochure.

If you’d like a one to one consultation and to see their radiators in person, visit a Castrads’ showroom in Chelsea.
