If this (wildly inconsistent and outrageously unreliable) sunshine has got you in the mood to head off on a little stay-cation, then we come bearing some news that’ll be right up your street train track. Southeastern are kindly offering a rather hefty amount of tickets for just £5 each (yes, you read that correctly) as part of their Southeastern Network Weekend.
Encouraging travellers to hop aboard Southeastern services to explore parts of London, Kent, and East Sussex; the sale will run from March 22 – March 28and will offer 10,000 advance tickets on selected routes for (much) less than the cost of a pint in London.
It’s not yet been revealed which exact routes will be included in the sale, but the Southeastern network spans many highly-explorable destinations. From seaside spots like Folkstone, Whitstable and Margate to the historical likes of Canterbury and Rochester; there’s sure to be a place to pique your interest.
Now, there is just one teeny-tiny catch. The Southeastern Network Weekend takes place on April 5 and 6. And so, the £5 tickets can only be used on that particular weekend. But I suppose it’s as good a weekend as any to head off on a little adventureright?
Steve WhiteManaging Director at Southeasternsaid: “We know that many of our customers love exploring Kent’s stunning scenery, heritage sites, and attractions. To celebrate 200 years of the railway and to tie in with Kent Big Weekend in April, we’re delighted to launch The Southeastern Network Weekend – offering 10,000 Advance train tickets for just £5 each.”
