New description update for the item Chosen offers an idea of when Season 5 might release.
Since the debut of the series Chosen Starring Jonathan Roumie, he has captivated (and surprised) the audience with his relatable and authentic view of Jesus’ ministry and his personal look at the lives of his followers.

When will The Chosen season 5 be released?
In Chosen Live broadcast on June 20, series director and showrunner Dallas Jenkins revealed that Season 5 has a month and a half of filming left.
Dallas Jenkins announced earlier this year on April 11th “day one” / “68 Days of Filming” had started in Utah:
“Hey, it’s day one… We’re officially kicking off day one of 68 days of shooting here in beautiful Utah. The set is behind me, we’ve done our first rehearsal and we’re on our way.”
After over 60 days of filming, Season 5 production moved to the show’s Midlothian, Texas facility, where production is likely to wrap up in August if production stays on schedule.
Chosen Season 4 wrapped filming in September 2023, before premiering in theaters in February 2024.
If season 5 follows the same release schedule, new episodes could premiere in theaters as early as January 2025.
What to expect from the selected season 5
Season 5 of the planned seven-season show is expected to deviate from previous chapters by focusing on one week and the events leading up to the crucifixion.
At the press conference in May, Dallas Jenkins discussed one of these events, which will be the betrayal of Judas.
According to him, Luke Dimyan’s Judas Season 5 performance has been “heartbreaking” and will be “hard to watch”.
The showrunner also shared this new one “stages” was built at ChosenMidlothian set for season 5 and beyond:
“So we have some sets that we’re building that will not only help us with this season and Season 7 and then yeah, hopefully we’ll get to do more than just this show, and we’ll use this for more than just the gospel period.”
Fans are sure to hear more about the new season and possibly its release date at ChosenCon in Orlando, Florida on the 20th-21st. September
Seasons 1-3 Chosen streaming on Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and Peacock. Season 1 is streaming on Netflix. Season 4 arrives on Amazon Prime Video on Monday, July 1st.
