Right, give us the tea. Is KAOS on Netflix going to be renewed for a season two or what?

If you’re anything like us, the chance are you’ve absolutely devoured KAOS on Netflix, the modern day retelling of Greek mythology. Starring Jeff Goldblum and Billie Piper, the 8-part series follows Zeus, the god of all gods who oversees thunder, lightning and the sky, who is suffering from paranoia around whether his prophecy is about to become true.

While all chaos hasn’t yet broken loose, the season one ending definitely leaves the door open for revolution. But what could happen in a sequel? Here’s everything you need to know about KAOS season 2, from what the cast and crew have said, to the potential plot lines and more.

What have the crew said about KAOS season 2?

Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, the show’s creator Charlie Covell revealed they had originally planned the series as a three-parter. “I didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger, they said of the season one ending. “I hope that it feels satisfying as a season one in its own right, and there’s always hope for the more. Because I really would love to do more and work with those actors and that team. It was a bit of a dream come true.

“My dream was three seasons. I’ve got many ideas and a strong sense of what I’d want to do with it.” They added that Netflix hadn’t mentioned anything about doing more episodes, but “they’ve been very supportive of it.”

What could happen in KAOS season 2?

Seeing as the story is inspired by Greek mythology, it’s likely the stories of ancient gods and goddesses might give us a small insight into what’s to come in the future.

The cast have also been theorising about what might happen in future episodes, in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK. “I want to go dark,” Misia Butler, who plays Caneus, said. “There’s something in me. You’ve got Leila [who plays Ari] on one hand, the collected president. And you’ve got the other form of anarchy in Billie Piper [as Cassandra.] Riddy could go either way.”

Killian Scott, who plays Orpheus, agreed: “Well that’s what [Caneus] is set up to be, the revolutionary. The anarchy.”

Jeff Goldblum, who plays Zeus, told Variety he has his own hopes for another season, commenting, “I already am wildly curious. I said to Charlie, ‘What happens?’ And Charlie’s got many things in mind. So it’s fertile ground.”
