A beautifully executed underworld-bound rogue-lite set in the world of ancient Greek myths, the critically acclaimed first game continues in 2020.
The sequel was first announced at The Game Awards 2022, promising players more enemies to take down, Greek gods to team up with, and amazing character designs to google.

When is the expected release date for Hades 2?
With the title now in Early Access, there are some hints as to when the full game will see the light of day.
While fans have been hoping for the title to come sometime in 2024, it no longer looks like that will be the case.
As confirmed by developer Supergiant Games Hades 2 Early Access announcement, game remains in preview mode “at least until the end of 2024:”
“We’re planning our first major update later this year! Please note that while we’re following feedback and reports carefully, this major update will take a few months from our initial release. Beyond that, we expect to be in Early Access until at least the end of 2024 to build the remaining content we’ve planned. “
This means that the release date of the hotly anticipated sequel will not be until 2025 at the earliest.
First Hades remained in Early Access for approximately 21 months starting in December 2018 exclusively on the Epic Games Store. It was then released on Steam Early Access in December 2019 before the full game was dropped on PC and Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2020 (about nine months later).
Considering the state Hades 2 has begun its Early Access journey – one that appears to be much further than Hades was in December 2018 – it can be assumed that the game won’t be nearly as long before its version 1.0 is released.
A better delimiter to start predictions would be Hades Steam Early Access will be released in December 2019 (nine months before launch).
If Hades 2 plans to follow a similar nine-month Steam Early Access window, which puts the game’s full release date in February or March 2025.
No official release date Hades 2 has been announced.
With rumors of Nintendo’s new console coming before the end of the first quarter of 2025 – and given Supergiant’s past relationship with the Japanese gaming giant – Hades 2 the release could be considered a one-day release for Nintendo’s Switch successor.
Supergiant specifically emphasized the game’s Early Access release that it couldn’t “confirm which platforms” it would be coming. While not an actual confirmation, some have taken it to mean that the game might be coming to Nintendo’s unannounced console:
“You can also wait for the v1.0 release depending on which platform you want to play on, as Early Access is only on Steam and the Epic Games Store. We expect Hades II to eventually be available on PC, Mac and console platforms (although we can’t confirm yet, which platforms).
That’s not to say the Nintendo Switch 2 will be the only place to play the full game when it’s finally released, but if there’s a deal, it could dictate when Hades 2 drips.
The game is expected to eventually come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as well, but whether it will be released for all at once remains to be seen. Hades It took about a year to come to PlayStation and Xbox, coming to those platforms in August 2021.
