Sea Girls – O2 Apollo, Manchester

Sea Girls have announced a UK tour for this September and October. Since they roared onto the scene, the London-based band have cemented themselves as one of British indie’s most consistent and successful groups.

Sea Girls found immediate acclaim with their early material: early singles ‘Call Me Out’ and ‘All I Want To Hear You Say’ became a hit with fans, and the band boast a combined 217.5 million streams on streaming services to date. Their ensuing two records – 2020’s ‘Open Up Your Head’ and 2022’s ‘Homesick’ – both stormed the UK album charts and landed in the top three.

Along the way, they’ve played huge sets at Glastonbury Festival, Reading & Leeds, supported Arctic Monkeys and Foals, and landed a coveted spot on the iconic FIFA video game soundtrack.

Their latest album, ‘Midnight Butterflies’, is set for release on June 14, ahead of their autumn tour.

Griff – Manchester Academy

Griff has announced details of her debut album ‘vertigo’, which will be released on July 19. Featuring anthemic new single ‘Miss Me Too’, the full tracklist was unveiled by Griff in a huge, spray-painted dress from CSM designer Eden Tan.

Following a sold-out first leg this spring, Griff has also confirmed a run of global dates continuing her ‘vertigo’ world tour, which includes a show at Manchester Academy on November 12.

A coming-of-age album shaped for complex times, ‘vertigo’ witnesses Griff scaling new creative heights without compromising the hand-stitched, home-made magic that marked her out as one of British pop’s most modern, exciting voices.

Corella – O2 Ritz, Manchester

Manchester band Corella have released their debut album, ‘Once Upon A Weekend’ today (May 3).

Continuing to explore more of that explosive indie-rock sound they have cultivated for themselves over the years, ‘Once Upon A Weekend’ looks set to become one of the more impactful debut LPs for the year ahead. Produced and mixed by Ady Hall and Lee McCarthy at Sugar House, the album features recently released singles ‘Drifting’, ‘Head Underwater’ and ‘Lady Messiah’.

Kings of Leon – Co-op Live, Manchester

Following the release of their brand new album ‘Can We Please Have Fun’ on May 10, Kings of Leon will embark on a 2024 world tour in support of the album. They will be joined by special guests The Vaccines on selected shows.

Kings of Leon’s new album, as its title suggests, is a document of one of this era’s great rock and roll bands cutting loose, trying new things, and having some fun. It sees the band hark back to their gritty origins, while simultaneously finding new gears. It’s the sound of a band unified in vision and purpose, freed from any expectations and the album the band says they’ve always wanted to make.

Tom Bailey – New Century, Manchester

Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey will set out on a major UK headline tour this May, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic eighties’ album ‘Into The Gap’.

Thompson Twins are widely regarded as one of the most iconic bands of the 1980s and provided the soundtrack to many people’s lives during that incredible era of music.

On his UK tour in May, Tom will perform ‘Into The Gap’ – the 1984 lauded number one album – in full, along with more Thompson Twins’ favourites. The album, which has sold over five million copies worldwide, spawned the distinctive new wave singles ‘Hold Me Now’, ‘Doctor Doctor’, ‘You Take Me Up’, ‘Sister of Mercy’ and ‘The Gap’.

Richard Hawley – O2 Apollo, Manchester

One of the UK’s greatest and most respected songwriters, Richard Hawley is set to play a very special headline show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on Wednesday, June 12.

Richard Hawley has forged one of the most singular and diverse careers in modern music. He has released nine studio albums over the last 20 years, with two being nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. He is also a Brit nominee and received a South Bank Award in 2007.

In 2023, he received two Olivier Awards for ‘best musical’ and ‘best music’ for his musical ‘Standing At The Sky’s Edge’ which was staged at The National Theatre and The Crucible in Sheffield.
