Big-name tech brands Google, Apple, and Samsung have all revealed shiny new phones in the last 18 months, and while many shoppers want to get their hands on the iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S24, Google’s flagship device is now a lot cheaper to buy. The Google Pixel 8 has dropped to a new low price, and anyone who buys it will get their choice of two free accessories sent to them, but only if you swap the usual Google Store for an unlikely retailer, giffgaff.

While giffgaff’s deals are all about mobiles and data it’s uncommon to beat the own brands price. The retailer’s deal, which is £50 cheaper than Google, also comes with a free pair of Google Pixel Buds Pro or a Pixel Watch. Those who fancy the Android 14 device can pick between a £349 smartwatch or £199 earphones for £0 after they’ve paid.

Newer features from Apple and Samsung can often make Google’s Pixel devices overlooked by a lot of tech shoppers, but just how the older Pixel 7 device rivalled the iPhone 14, the new Pixel 8 model certainly has a lot going for it.

To start, the Pixel 8 has the exact same Android 14 software as the newer Samsung Galaxy S24 range, as well as a noteably speedy Tensor G3 chip (of course, different to Samsung but still worth pointing out). It’s Actua Display screen makes it a fan favourite with gamers and keen photographers as it gives added clarity to images and videos.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a 2023/24 new handset without any mention or feature of artificial intelligence, and the Google Pixel 8 has it geared up in its photo editing features, messaging, and even calls – it’s AI assitant will help block any calls it thinks is a scam. And to top it all off, the Pixel device is supported by Google’s software for a full seven years, that means users can download the newest launch each year onto the ‘older’ device until 2023.

How to get the free £349 Pixel Watch or Pixel Buds Pro

Pixel 8 shoppers will pay the £649 outright price first, but while they’re waiting for the phone to arrive they can head to this link and fill in the form. It’s here where you can pick your free accessory, as long as you buy before June 10, so there’s just a few more days to go.

Once bought shoppers have until July 29 to fill in the claim form, which is also available to rival Currys, EE, and Sky Mobile shoppers – to name a few. In other phone sales, Apple’s iPhone 15 is more affordable to buy at Mobiles.co.uk which has a combined 100GB of data and device deal from £29.99 per month.
