Longstanding Stokey pizza place Pronto Pizza is no more and we now know what’s taking over the site on Stoke Newington Church Street. Flyers for Truffle Burger have been pasted onto the hoardings, although we don’t know exactly when we’ll be able to get our hands on those buns.
Truffle Burger started out in 2018 as a street food operation and has since grown into a spot on the Southbank and proper sites in Seven Dials Market, Liverpool Street and Soho. As the name suggests, this joint is all about truffle and burgers, with buns including the Truffle Burger (beef & bacon patty, raclette cheese, fig jam, crispy onions and truffle mayo), the Cheeseburger (beef patty, truffle burger sauce, raclette cheese and pickles) and the Truffle Honey Chicken (buttermilk fried thigh, truffle honey glaze, smoked bacon ketchup and whipped goats cheese), and sides like truffle & parmesan fries, deep fried brie with truffle honey and truffle mayo. Yep, truffle is in pretty much everything except for the drinks, although we wouldn’t put it past these lot….
