It’s been seven years since the St. John group opened a restaurant but a new spot is on the way to Marylebone this September to join the original Smithfield site and St. John Bread and Wine in Spitalfields. The Marylebone branch of St. John will continue the nose-to-tail ethos pioneered by Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver, with the menu being overseen by Fergus and St. John chef-director Jonathan Woolway.

The new all-day restaurant will be inspired by the bars of Paris and Florence, so you can expect plenty of wine to be on offer, including their own label stuff. We don’t know any dish details yet other than that there’ll be a regularly changing blackboard menu of bar snacks and small plates plus baked goods from their Bermondsey bakery, with doughnuts served with champagne in the morning – now that’s what we call a breakfast!
