A spellbinding world of light, colour, and beauty awaits you when enjoying the paintings of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, the powerhouse duo who inspired one another to become the two of most influential figures in Mexican art. Though their works naturally dazzle when seen on canvas, there’s now a whole new way to experience them as Mexican Geniuses: A Frida & Diego Immersive Experience has officially opened its doors in London. With 360-degree projection technology and state-of-the-art sound systems, this captivating art exhibition will be a truly unforgettable affair – and tickets are still available, though they’re selling fast!

The lives, loves, and legacies of this iconic duo will be explored during the exhibition, and you’ll learn how Frida and Diego inspired one another to even greater achievements. Their art has left an indelible legacy on Mexico and the world, and these hyper-realistic paintings – along with audio guides, workshops, and panel discussions – will help you explore it fully. Inside, you will discover over 300 art projections, which highlight every detail of their paintings in bright, vivid clarity. As you soak up their striking masterpieces, it will be as if you are viewing the world through their eyes, seeing the spectrum of colour and rich tapestry of pattern that exists in nature and everyday life recreated in their expressive brushstrokes.

All of this will unfold at Dock X, a spacious warehouse found in the heart of Canada Water, just four minutes from the station. The extensive venue will be filled with immersive light technology: the first time this technique has ever been applied to the works of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. As the music, colour, and movement combine, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped through the canvas into their paintings, which is not an experience you’ll want to miss…

Beyond the art, you’ll also get your opportunity to visit Mexico on a unique VR experience, allowing you to explore the rich scenery and fascinating people that so inspired Frida and Diego. Putting on the headset will plunge you right onto the streets which fuelled their vibrant creations, sending you on a virtual journey which follows in the footsteps of the pair as you wander through striking environments. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if it gets you planning a trip to Mexico as soon as you’ve finished the exhibition… Don’t miss out!
