There will be plenty of demonstrations throughout each day, showcasing the speed and power of the impressive vehicles.
Firle Beacon comes from the mind of Henry Gage, a member of the family who own the Firle estate. An idea rooted in history – not to mention one born from Gage’s passion for car technology and the stunning South Downs National Park – the event aims to take you back to racing’s grassroots and capture the authentic spirit of early motorsport competitions.
You’ll get to safely watch all the action unfold up close; almost able to see the splatter of mud from the tyres, feel the reverberating rumble of the engines and hear the crunch of gravel as they accelerate along the estate’s drive. Watch as rally, retro and supercars follow in the tiretacks of their motoring predecessors, who drove up the Downs in a longstanding hillclimb tradition that spans back to 1949.
To fuel your exploration and curious wanders through the car-filled paddocks there’ll be locally-sourced food available to dig into. Take a seat on the lawns and enjoy a bite to eat among the beautiful surrounds of the sprawling estate. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or are looking to treat someone who is to an unforgettable day, make sure to grab tickets for Firle Beacon now.
