There’s nothing quite like that sweet, sweet feeling of sinking a freshly pulled beer: perfectly chilled, straight from the barrel and glittering in the sun like liquid gold. Well, if that has got you daydreaming of summer pints then the London Craft Beer Festival might be right up your street. Heading into town with an epic weekender of all things beer, the two-day festival will be beckoning in brewhounds with the promise of refreshing lagers, golden ciders, amber ales, fruit-fuelled sours and chocolatey stouts this August. This is a must for any craft beer fans looking to taste a wide range of hops from over 100 world-class breweries, not to mention the fact that it is the festival’s 10th year celebration so you just know they’re gonna go all out. Taking place over August 12 & 13, the boozy festival will pop up at Tobacco Dock, frequently a host of must-visit events. Beer lovers will get the chance to enjoy the cavernous open space, which will be filled with over 100 talented breweries offering a taste of their fantastic craft beers. Think Brixton Brewery, By the Horns, Cannabrew, Dark Star, Devil’s Peak, Duvel, Eko Brewery, Fierce Beer, Hackney Church Brew Co and many many more. Plus, thanks to a partnership with the Brewers Association, there will even be a selection of beers from breweries across the pond in the US – just keep an ear out as they are yet to be announced.
In addition to a whole fleet of breweries to get familiar with, guests at the London Craft Beer Festival will be treated to DJ sets from top music acts (guests in the past have included Craig Charles, Hot Chip, Shortee Blitz and DJ Yoda). Oh, and to stave off any hunger pangs, you’ll be able to tuck into grub from renowned London restaurants, including 10 Greek Street, Decatur, Fallow, Farang, From the Ashes BBQ, Napoli Gang, Tacos Padre and Tendril.
