Connaught Village is feeling the love, and so are we.
Love is in the air ahead of Valentine’s Day – and quite literally so in Marylebone. To welcome the arrival of the month of love and brighten up the darkness of winter, Connaught Village have unveiled a new light installation called ‘Love is Love‘. It’s both heartwarming and gorgeous, and also comes just in time for LGBTQ+ History Month!
The new artwork sees Connaught Village’s ‘Tree of Love, Joy and Hope’ on the corner of Kendal Street and Connaught Street filled with rainbow-coloured neon hearts, shining strongly in the dark of a February night. In the centre, a colourful message reminds us that ‘Love is Love’, in a timely celebration of inclusivity. It’s hoped that the installation can bring a smile to the face of local shoppers, and with the tree lying on a route to Hyde Park, it’ll give Londoners out for a stroll a welcome treat, too.
The installation is also a canny PR move, allowing Connaught Village to show off the range of Valentine’s activations in local shop. For instance, you and your beau can pick up wine from Connaught Cellars, sort out a cheeseboard from Buchanan’s, and fill your flat with flowers from PM Flowers. Supporting local businesses whilst getting an eyeful of neon art? We’re all for it!
