A gluten-free air fryer cookbook from Sunday Times best selling author Becky Excell is already top of the charts despite releasing in May. Gluten Free Air Fryer: Over 100 Fast, Simple, Delicious Recipes is written by the ‘Queen of Gluten Free’ and promises recipes from ‘everyday essentials’ to ‘fakeaways’.
On Amazon – where it’s already the number one in Books at the time of writing – is selling for £20.24 (down from £22) for a hardcover or £10.04 for a Kindle edition. It’s also £11 in the Waterstones sale.
While it’s not released until May 23, 2024, the hype seems to be strong as there aren’t many gluten free air fryer cookbooks of high quality out at the moment. That’s apart from The ‘I Love My Air Fryer’ Gluten-Free Recipe Book by Michelle Fagone, which has a 4.6 rating from 578 reviews.

Her book contains 175 recipes with photos throughout and helps people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance and wheat allergies. It’s currently £13.83 for a paperback or free on Kindle Unlimited. It’s also available for £14.99 on eBay.
Meanwhile, Becky Excell’s Gluten Free Air Fryer cookbook contains recipes for gluten-free, dairy-free, lactose-free, low FODMAP, veggie and vegan dishes. These include crispy pizza, golden zinger burgers and sausage rolls.
While her current book doesn’t have ratings, her gluten free cookbook How to Make Anything Gluten Free: Over 100 Recipes for Everything from Home Comforts to Fakeaways, Cakes to Dessert, Brunch to Bread has a very strong 4.8 rating out of 6,718 reviews.
One person said: “Some very great recipes that look really tasty by Becky Excell that are gluten free.” Another added: “My husband is coeliac and this book has proved invaluable. Thank you Becky Excell.”
However, a less pleased shopper wrote: “A useful guide as a starting point but not really anything special. Certain recipes that appeared to come out well in the text, despite several attempts, we disappointing.” Another said: “Book is ok but a lot of recipes just suggest buying gluten free flour/pastry/oats etc – this is pretty obvious & I was hoping for more innovative recipes.”
