National Express is to expand its travel services for Glastonbury Festival visitors with the addition of 34 new departure locations. National Express, the official coach travel partner for the event, has announced an expansion of its Glastonbury service to meet increasing demand.
Festival goers can now travel to Worthy Farm from 109 locations. An estimated passenger increase of more than 20% compared to 2023 is expected by the company. In addition, a fleet of double-decker electric buses will be deployed to provide a frequent shuttle service between Bristol Bus Station and Worthy Farm, Bristol Live reports.
With zero exhaust emissions and each bus capable of traveling up to 173 miles on a full charge, it benefits the environment by saving around 348kg of carbon dioxide emissions per cycle compared to diesel buses, the operator said.
