A new development update sheds light on when Ginny and Georgia Season 3 may premiere on Netflix.
An exciting update in January 2024 Ginny and Georgia creator Sarah Lampert revealed that the next installments were being written in the series’ writer‘s room, noting on her Instagram story that “Season 3 is coming swimmingly.”
Despite the hype for the upcoming season, Deadline shared in February 2024 that Season 3 would not be released until sometime in 2025.

Buchan Knight Casting shared the casting via Instagram (@buchanknightcasting). Ginny and Georgia Season 3 is underway, which may hint at when the latest chapter in the series might be released.
The message stated that the experiment “Season 3 Callbacks” are happening.
This new update matches the expected production start date next month.
In February 2024, USA Production News confirmed via Facebook that filming for season 3 will begin in April in Toronto, Canada.
The production of the first season took place from August 2019 to December 2019. The series debuted on Netflix on February 24, 2021, 18 months after the end of filming (the delay was due to the high number of cases of COVID-19).
Meanwhile, Season 2 began filming in November 2021 and ended in April 2022, eventually leading to a January 5, 2023 premiere (13-month hiatus).
Assuming Season 3 follows a similar six-month production schedule and the same gap between filming and release, a summer 2025 release is in the offing.
Based on the publication forecasts, there is a great chance of that Ginny and Georgia Season 3 may premiere sometime in May 2025, barring any unforeseen delays.
What to expect in Ginny and Georgia season 3
Ginny and Georgia Season 3 is expected to deal with the aftermath of the wild Season 2 finale after Georgia was arrested for murdering Cynthia’s husband Tom during the wedding.
Georgie’s prison time and its effect on Ginny and the rest of the family could be one of the highlights of season 3.
Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny Miller, said in an interview with TUDUM magazine in January 2023 that she wants to see her character and Georgia. “same corner over two episodes” hints that the pair’s strong bond could “literally just get up here” after experiencing the bottom.
However, if Georgia’s time in prison ends, she still has to deal with what her husband Paul thinks of her after learning the truth about her dark past.
Elsewhere, Ginny and Max had some closure in the season 2 finale as they both ended up being friends while the latter pursues a new relationship with Silver.
However, some fans are hoping that Ginny and Max could rekindle their romance, and maybe that will be possible in Season 3 and beyond.
