To achieve a smooth shave without any cuts, irritation or redness, you need the right tools. These Gillette razors are being lauded by shoppers for providing “the smoothest shave of all other blades on the market”, and they’re currently on sale at Amazon.

The deal is on the Gillette Fusion5 Men’s Razor with 10 razor blade refills – originally priced at £25.99, but for a limited time, shoppers can grab them for just £20.99.

A pack of eight Gillette blade refills alone cost £17.99 at Boots and that doesn’t even include the razor itself, so it’s no surprise that Amazon customers are snapping up this deal as it’s “cheaper than high street prices”.

This great value Gillette set delivers an “excellent shave” that one user claims “lasts at least three weeks”. Shoppers also report that since using the Fusion5 blades, they’ve experienced “no cuts” and the extra precision features make trimming beards and sideburns “really easy”.

One satisfied customer gave them five stars, writing: “I’ve been using the Fusion5 for a while now, and it’s fantastic, giving me a really smooth shave every time. The five blades make a big difference, reducing the number of passes needed and preventing irritation.

“The precision trimmer on the back is great for those tricky areas around the nose and sideburns. The handle is comfortable to hold and has a good grip, even when wet. Overall, it’s a very good razor that makes shaving easy.”

Despite being marketed towards men, women are also finding the razor impressive. One woman shared: “I find the lady razors don’t work as well and the orange and white cheaper ones cut your legs up! I haven’t cut myself that often with this and it is a closer shave.

“You’ll know when the head’s due for a replacement as the soothing strip falls off eventually! (After about a month! ) It’s easy to reinstall another head by just clipping it on, safe to remove the old head too!”, reported the Express.

Free Amazon Prime membership

As well as getting shoppers exclusive access to the site’s Black Friday sale prices, there’s a host of advantages to Amazon Prime membership including next-day delivery, free Deliveroo and Hello Fresh perks, music, books and Prime Video. Usually £8.99 a month, you can now get a 30-day free trial to get access to the latest deals.

However, not all customers were as pleased, with one describing the razor as ‘a bit flimsy’. Elsewhere, Boots is currently offering 25% off selected Gillette blades. The Gillette Mach3 Razor with Eight Refills, originally priced at £16.99, is now available for £12.74.

In anticipation of Amazon Prime Day on 16-17 July, Amazon has slashed the price of the Philips Series 3000 Men’s Electric Shaver by £95. The gadget, which usually retails for £159.99, is now available with a 59% discount, bringing the price down to just £64.99.
