Garfield 2024 Online Streaming Release Date Revealed

Like The Garfield movie prepares to leave theaters, audiences will learn when the lasagna-loving house cat arrives on digital and streaming.

Inspired by Jim Davis Karvinen cartoon, Sony Pictures’ The Garfield movie showed Chris Pratt’s Garfield meeting his street cat father Vic before being taken on an adventure.

When will the 2024 Garfield movie be released digitally?

When Stream confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that The Garfield movie will be available for digital purchase on Tuesday, July 9.

That means 46 days separate the animated film from its May 24th theatrical release to its digital homecoming.

To date, the family-friendly Sony flick has earned $240 million at the box office worldwide.

When does the 2024 Garfield movie start streaming?

As The Hollywood Reporter wrote in 2021, The Garfield movie was included in Sony’s streaming rights deal with Netflix and Disney.

The deal granted Netflix exclusive “pay 1 window” streaming rights for 18 months. Later, Disney will receive “pay 2 window” streaming rights to stream the film on Disney+ and Hulu, as well as broadcast Disney on its television networks.

The question now is when The Garfield movie begins its 18-month run on Netflix, and past Sony film releases may hold the answer.
