The award-winning Fringe First hit NIUSIA will tour to Brighton and London this spring, following three critically acclaimed seasons at the Melbourne, Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe.

The one-woman production runs in the UK from Sunday 3 May to Saturday 23 May 2026, with performances at Lantern Theatre as part of Brighton Fringe and Theatre503 in London.

NIUSIA tells the story of a Holocaust survivor through the voice of her granddaughter Beth, who attempts to piece together a family history shaped by silence, trauma and inherited memory.

Blending humour and tenderness, the play explores intergenerational legacy, Jewish identity and the questions that remain as living memory begins to fade.

The production is performed by Filipa Braganca Award-nominated Beth Paterson and directed by Kat Yates, with producer Ryan Stewart.

The creative team also includes stage manager Tiah Bullock, lighting designer Sidney Younger, sound designer Jack Burmeister and set and costume designer Samantha Hastings.

Now more than 80 years on from the Holocaust, NIUSIA asks what responsibility passes to future generations and how incomplete stories can still be carried with care and purpose.

The production has received multiple five-star reviews and accolades, including a Scotsman Fringe First Award and Adelaide Fringe Best in Theatre Weekly Award.
