Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (FNAF 2) might release sooner rather than later, according to a new update from one of its leading stars.
Original Five Nights at Freddy’s It became a surprise financial hit in 2023 when it was released in cinemas and on the Peacock, quickly prompting many to wonder how long it will be until a sequel gets the green light.
One rumor (via The Hollywood Handle ) even teased it FNAF 2 is already working at Blumhouse and Universal, and according to the report, the director of the original film, Emma Tammi, was ready to take on the same role for the sequel.

Five Nights at Freddy’s star Josh Hutcherson confirmed Blumhouse and Universal’s upcoming filming timeline Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 in a recent conversation with Vanity Fair.
While expressing how much he “can’t wait to see what they’re going to do next” he revealed it FNAF 2 filming will begin sometime this year, though no other details were offered.
This comes after that FNAF director Emma Tammi revealed before the release of the first film that she was “I’m definitely interested” directing a sequel to continue the story:
“I would definitely be very interested in continuing (to direct a sequel), building stories in this world, building stories with these characters that I now know, not only fell in love with but have invested in. I’d love to see where they go. .”
The FNAF the manager then said they are just “really excited to include more elements of history” which are tied for the second and third games of the series:
“As far as the franchise goes, if we’re lucky enough to be able to continue making more movies, we’d be really excited to include more elements of the story related to it (the second and third games).”
When will FNAF 2 be released?
