The Hollywood star shocked commuters after he was spotted at One Canada Square this morning

Pictures show filming of Jason Statham’s latest film underway in the middle of Canary Wharf as the project shut down one of the city’s most iconic skyscrapers. Crews set up cameras and lighting systems in the lobby of One Canada Square as the Hollywood star filmed this morning (Monday, September 9).

He was wearing a gray shirt and black suit as he was snapped outside the South Colonnade entrance, opposite the Elizabeth line. It is the second time he has been seen filming in Canary Wharf this year after similar crews were spotted in April.

Known for his roles in Fast & Furious, The Transporter and Snatch, Jason Statham is believed to have started filming Mutiny. This is about a man who is convicted of the murder of his billionaire boss. Screen Daily reported earlier this year that filming would begin in London in September.

Alternatively, he could be shooting Levon’s Trade, an action-packed thriller based on a man who left his profession in counter-terrorism to be a good father to his daughter. But when a local girl goes missing, he’s asked to use his skills to bring her back. Levon’s Trade is currently in post-production, making this less likely.

Filming ended shortly after lunchtime as crews began packing up the cameras. Take a look at our image gallery below.
