For the past four years, London’s popular electronica festival, Field Dayhas taken place in conjunction with All Points East at Victoria Park. But in 2025, they’re striking out on their own and taking their festival to new pastures and a new date. Well, we say new pastures – but they’re actually returning to an old familiar spot. Field Day 2025 will take place at Brockwell Park, taking over the site on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
And yes, for those keeping track, that is the May Bank Holiday weekend. That means you’ll have PLENTY of time to recover after the festival. It’s set to be an enormous banger to kick off the summer! (Well, assuming the weather plays ball for once…)
Speaking on the new location, Mark Newton, Field Day Festival Director said:
“Myself and the Field Day team are incredibly excited about our move to Brockwell Park and our new May date, which solidifies our place at the beginning of London’s summer.
“After four highly successful years collaborating with All Points East at Victoria Park, 2025 seemed like the ideal time to host our own standalone event again. The availability of both the new venue and date presented the perfect opportunity to do so.
“We look forward to working with the Brockwell Live team and joining their lineup of successful events in the park.”
Festivals at Brockwell Park
Field Day will join Brockwell’s already heaving line-up of festivals and will now form part of the Brockwell Live Bank Holiday Weekender. Brockwell’s other annual festivals include Wide Awake, Cross The Tracks, City Splash, and more.
Coinciding with Field Day’s new location and date, Wide Awake will shift from its Saturday slot back to its original Friday position. That means next year’s Wide Awake Festival will place on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Keith Miller, Wide Awake co-founder and booker, said of the new date:
“Over the last 5 years Wide Awake has carved out a niche that we’re proud of. Changing dates allows us to keep the same artist budget, keep the same production values we have created and also keep average ticket prices similar to the last few years.
“We really want to dig in and keep building on what we’ve been doing which is supporting new artists and giving opportunities to acts who are on the rise as well as reintroducing the odd legend! It also gives you a long weekend to lie down in the recovery position.”
