ExCel London is getting ready to host one of the UK’s largest non-denominational religious gatherings.

That’s right, the Festival of Life (FOL) is returning to London again, and this time it will feature a special ‘Great Expectations’ theme.

Known for its inclusive and diverse atmosphere, the event is expected to attract thousands to celebrate the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Followers can mark their calendars for next month’s FOL now, which will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Tickets are free and available online now, but as places are limited, visitors are urged to secure their place quickly to avoid disappointment.

A spiritual legacy

The Festival of Life was founded in April 1996 and has been a mainstay for individuals and communities for almost three decades.

The event continues to highlight themes central to the Christian faith such as salvation, healing, liberation and peace. It also serves as a convergence point for individuals from different backgrounds and communities, united by a common goal – to seek spiritual revival, worship God and receive insightful teachings.

The upcoming festival is being orchestrated by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), led by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. An inspiration to the Christian community since 1976, he has been instrumental in spreading the church’s mission both nationally and globally.

In September, the event’s ‘Great Expectations’ theme will also see special guests make an appearance. They will include Bob Fitts, Chevelle Franklyn, David Dam and Moses Bliss, all of whom will take the stage to perform songs of devotion.

The Church’s Global Reach

Founded in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1952 by Pa Akindayomi, RCCG has grown exponentially under Pastor Adeboye’s leadership since succeeding his predecessor.

From 1981 onwards, the church has expanded rapidly throughout Nigeria, with about 2,000 congregations.

Today, RCCG’s influence spans many African nations including Ghana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Gambia and South Africa. Its reach also extends globally to countries such as England, Germany, France, USA, Haiti and Jamaica.

Secure your place

The upcoming Festival of Life event will run from 7pm to 2am, with doors opening at 6pm.

To be a part of this spiritually enriching experience, attendees are advised to Book their complimentary tickets via Eventbrite as soon as possible due to high demand. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

ExCel London is conveniently located at Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, London, E16 1XL. It is easily accessible via the Elizabeth Line and the DLR.

For visitor convenience, a shuttle bus will also run between ExCel London and Canning Town every ten minutes from 02:00 to 05:30, with a pick-up point on the west side of Crowne Plaza.
