Family Vacation Season 7 (Is their first date tense?)

With Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 7 premiere in a few weeks, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and her ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro face a tense reunion. While filming the original iteration of the show, the couple was known for their toxic on-off relationship and intense fights. They tried to make their relationship work after the show ended in 2012, but later confirmed that they had split for good in August 2014.

Soon Sammi and Ronnie have to put their differences aside because they live in the same house again. They are with the rest of their cast mates from the original iteration Jersey Shore. Sammi and Ronnie have since moved on to new relationships, but they haven’t seen each other in years, so their encounter is bound to be awkward.

What to expect from Sammi & Ronnie’s Reunion

MTV released a trailer for Sammi and Ronnie meeting Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 7. According to the tagline this season brings the entire Cast together under one roof for the first time. “I think we’ve all known for a while that Ron might be coming back“, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino says in the trailer. To which Sammi responds.”Hell noWhen Ronnie returns, in the clip Sammi asks:I live (in) the Twilight Zone?!”

So far away, the trailer doesn’t really show Sammi and Ronnie together. Towards the end of the trailer, the former coupe men were sitting at the same table, but at opposite ends, not talking to each other. However, this does not mean that Ronnie and Sammi will not interact at all this season. When they do, Sammi and Ronnie’s reunion is likely to be tense and awkward.

What have Sammi & Ronnie done?

Since Sammi broke up with Ronnie in 2014, Sammi has stayed out of the spotlight, although she has been very busy. She did not join her former roommates in the spin-off of the series in 2018. After the split, she and Ronnie focused on their lives outside the show. After Sammi left Jersey Shoreshe started dating Christian Biscardi in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. They had to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but later decided to call off the wedding for good.

In 2021, Ronnie was arrested for domestic violence when the police were called to his home after an alleged physical fight with his then-girlfriend Saffire Matos. After the arrest, Ronnie announced his retirement Jersey Shore: Family Vacation to focus more on their mental health. Soon after, Ronnie proposed to Saffire, but the couple called off their engagement in July 2023. Since the split, Ronnie has focused on his sobriety, mental health, and raising his daughter Arianna, who he shares with ex Jen Harley. .
