Drop star Moises Arias teased the character’s fate following the events of the series’ season 1 finale and one of his big wishes for Ela Purnell’s Lucy.

While Amazon Studios left fans holding their breath, fans can now rejoice – Season 2 of the Prime Video series has finally been announced. This means that the story of the Los Angeles wasteland continues.

However, things didn’t end so well for one character: Vault resident Norm Maclean appears to be stuck in Vault 31 with nowhere to go.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Direct’s Russ Milheim, Drop actor Moises Arias teased the fate of his character Norm MacLean and what his big wish is for his on-screen sister, Ella Purnell’s Lucy.

As for the fate of her character, who is currently stuck in Vault 31, Arias noted that “doesn’t look good” but she hopes for Norm “sees something we don’t:”

“It doesn’t look good, but I hope he sees something that we don’t, and that seems to be his specialty. He really uses intelligence and that kind of science to deal with situations.”

But what does Arias personally hope Norm does next while watching the upcoming season? He pointed it out “It would be great to try to find (Lucy)”:

“I really liked the juxtaposition of the desert with the vaults and his discoveries. But you know, seeing another world is always interesting. And it’s always a literal adventure. So it would be great to try to find my sister, and that’s It would be great to discover other mysteries as well, so Norm is going to do.

One can’t help but wonder how Norm would fare if he made it to the surface like Ella Purnell’s Lucy. Arias agreed that it would “hit him hard” but he believes in the vault dweller:

“I think he’s finally seen the trouble with the Raiders coming to his house. His dad’s leaving, his sister’s leaving, and his mom hasn’t been there for a while. I think he’s gained enough experience to go into the wasteland. Obviously, it’s hitting him hard. , but he may find his way in the wasteland.”

Before Norm can ever surface, he still has to battle Vault 31 and its brains in the Roomba – where the actor worked with the physical robot on set:

“Literally. It was absolutely amazing. Even though they were divas (laughs) … It’s all there, it’s all practical. And it just helps you understand what you’re looking at, you’re not Imagining the brain. You know, you’re looking at the absurdity that keeps you from going (Vault) to 31. So that was awesome.”

The Direct couldn’t help but ask Aria how it felt to wear the iconic vault jumpsuit, which she noted is “very practical” Besides “no pockets:”

“Yeah, I guess you have a reason why you need a suit in the vaults, because it’s one less thing to worry about. Alas Einstein, you know, one fit and you’re good. And I think everybody looks good. Yes, it did suit us all And yes, it just looks practical, except it doesn’t have pockets, also very practical.”

Will Norm reach the Wasteland in season two?

One should assume that Vault 31 is not the end of Moses Arias’ Norm MacLean.

After all, she needs to be told about her father’s nefarious history — especially after all the information she found at the end of Season 1. A big family reunion seems like just what the MacLeans need.

It would be great to see what Norm would be like in the Wasteland during Season 2. Even though she’s been sheltered her whole life like Ella Purnell’s Lucy, it doesn’t feel like her experience is anything like her much more optimistic sister.

However, there is always a chance that the story will keep him sidelined in the story of the Vaults for longer. Maybe he’ll be responsible for taking all his vault mates to the desert one day.
