Amy is a strong person, but the possibility of going blind is scary. So it is understandable that he is very sensitive about his views. For example, in season 6, when someone put wisdom in his eyes, he was very upset. He feels that he will never be:

beautiful

because of the way his eyes look. This is not true. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

It’s easy to sympathize with him and how a serious injury makes him feel. The truth is, people don’t pay enough attention to what’s going on in Amy’s eyes. It’s a very big deal, but it usually gets glossed over. After the season in 2024, he won’t say anything new about his vision – he has, however, opened up about mental health issues, which may at least in part be due to the rigors of life with a disability.

Amy is legally blind. He is said to be receiving disability benefits, which he deserves. However, it is unclear how much he will receive. She lives with three forms of mental illness – depression, bipolar disorder and acute anxiety disorder. In season 6 she was always crying. At that time, his mental health problem was still undiagnosed. People barked at him for being weak, but they had no idea what he was dealing with.

The tone that came even from loved ones made everything worse.

People with disabilities are prone to depression. It’s very common and nothing to be ashamed of. It’s great that Amy reached out for the help she needed. She may be on medication – Amy hasn’t gone into detail, but she has said she’s seeing a doctor and focusing on her mental health.

The possibility of going blind will dramatically change the way a person thinks and feels. There is a lot of life with it. So while most people talk about Amy’s weight and link her mental health problems to it (and her troubled marriage, which is now over), the truth is that her vision problems may be her biggest problems. They could make him overeat and everything else. So fans should remember that Amy’s illness is very difficult to accept and will likely lead to blindness.

Amy’s perseverance has been the hallmark of her journey 1000-lb Sisters, and her never-ending battle against toxoplasmosis only confirms that Amy is an unbeatable force. Amy’s eye disease has not been an easy challenge to face in a weight loss effort, from being bullied as a child because of the appearance of her eyes to complete blindness. Although her eye condition is deteriorating, Amy is loved 1000-lb Sisters a star committed to making progress in life.
