2024 will see the release of several DC superhero movies, including a few not so well-known ones that may come as a surprise.
2024 will be a slow year for DC in theaters, with only one film expected to continue at the extended box office while the others are available for purchase or streaming at home.
This is because the DCEU will end in 2023, and a total of four live-action films will be released, including Aquaman and the Lost Empire December 22

DC superhero movies will be released in 2024
Joker: Folie à Deux – October 4, 2024
Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix and director Todd Phillips will return in 2024 with a direct sequel to the 2019 film. Jokerthe highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
This time they will be joined by Lady Gaga, who will play this Elseworlds version of Harley Quinn in what is expected to be, or at least part of, the musical.
Additionally, Arkham Asylum is expected to feature prominently in the sequel, and the film is also rumored to be from Harley Quinn’s perspective.
Originally planned as a standalone film without sequels, Phillips planned to consider a sequel based on the film’s success and Phoenix’s willingness. In the end, the first movie overachieves and Folie à Deux was green.
Folie à Deux, which means “a delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close contact” seems appropriate Joker 2which opens on 4 October 2024.
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths (Parts 1, 2 and 3) – 2024
Was told that the first part Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths is scheduled for release on January 24, 2024, available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
During the beginning of the year Infinite globesThe Anti-Monitor is released in the DC Multiverse, destroying its Earths, while the Monitor tries to recruit heroes from different dimensions, but it doesn’t end well for him when Braniac recruits other villains to control other Earths.
Part 2 and 3 are also expected to appear during 2024, likely a calendar year, and will mark the end of DC’s Tomorrowverse run.
Guardians – 2024
Upcoming movie 2024, The guardsexplores the DC mythos previously depicted in Zack Snyder’s 2009 film and 2019 HBO series.
It is still uncertain whether the animated film will present the fresh story within The guards a universe similar to the 2019 series, or offer a completely new adaptation of Alan Moore’s comic Book story.
Outside of the primary DC universe The guards features retired superheroes who have significantly reshaped the world’s political landscape and are retired when one of them dies, forcing them back into action.
BONUS – Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires
Max Latin America is expected to be released Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires In 2024, an original animated film that sets The Dark Knight in the historical context of Mexico during the Aztec Empire.
The story follows Yohualli Coatli, a young Aztec boy who tries to avenge the murder of his father by the Spanish conquistadors. He trains with the bat god Tzinacan to face the attack and protect the temple of King Moctezuma.
