“Oh, I wanna dance with somebody…” No scrap that; what I actually want is for everybody to sit and watch on admiringly as I warble my way through Whitney’s entire back catalogue. So, I suppose it’s pretty darn convenient that Europe’s largest karaoke bar is on its way to London.

Now, this isn’t any old karaoke venue; this is a luxury karaoke venue. If M&S did karaoke venues, I’m pretty sure that this is what they’d come up with. It’s classy. It’s sophisticated. Well, at least it was – until they decided to open one in central London.

BAM – which stands for Boîte à Musique (or music box) – is renowned in Paris for combining the chaos of private karaoke with chic Parisian style. And now it’s hopping across the channel and bringing the revolutionary concept to Victoria, early next year. I’d better start warming my vocal chords up, then.

What to expect from BAM London

At a whopping 10,000 square-feet, it’s set to be the largest karaoke venue in Europe. It will boast 22 private karaoke rooms plus a live music stage (for the professionals to show you how it’s supposed to be done).

The BAM BAM bar will be there to keep you refueled and rehydrated in between rounds of belting out ‘Angels’ by Robbie Williams, and the outdoor terrace will be the perfect place to cool off after going a little too hard during the ‘Single Ladies’ routine. If you know, you know.

“The opening of BAM Karaoke Box in London is a significant milestone for our brand,’ says Arnaud Studer, Founder of BAM. ‘We are thrilled to bring the unique atmosphere and energy of BAM to London, where people can come together to have fun and socialise, whilst enjoying the best in food, drinks, and music.”
