Shoppers suffering from back pain and muscle injuries have described a Dunelm heated pad as a ‘godsend’. The £39 pad is from a brand called Dreamland and retails for £39. It is available in gray and has the following dimensions: W 40cm x L 35cm. The pillow has also been praised by customers who suffer from abdominal pain.
Dreamland’s Heat Pad takes five minutes to heat up and is safe to place directly on your skin. The pad uses “intelliheat technology” which provides precise temperature control and offers a 3-hour heat treatment. Dunelm describes it as a “modern alternative” to a hot water bottle.
The pillow has been designed to mold to your body, making it perfect for placing on your stomach or lower back. It has five heat settings. In addition, it is machine washable and can be placed in a tumble dryer but only on a low temperature. The pillow has a rating of 4.9 out of five stars and rave customer reviews.

One shopper said: “I bought the heating pad after a muscle injury from running. It has been worth every penny. It is easy to use, heats up quickly and the heat levels are easy to adjust. The pad is large enough to sweep over an area. Now that I have the pad, I can see that it will have a number of uses, including keeping my feet warm in the winter.”
Another wrote: “Can’t live without one of these! I suffer from a bad back and these are really good for pain relief and relaxation. This is my third over the years as I noticed the switch developing a small fault after a one couple of years.” A third added simply: “Really comforting for sick people. They have them in the hospital.”
A fourth commented: “Arrived very quickly after I ordered it. Bought it as a present for my Nanna to replace hers which she has had for years from the same make. She is really happy with it especially how warm it gets too when it’s not on the hottest setting and heats up really fast Even her cats love it lol.
However, one fan didn’t like the on/off light switch. They wrote: “Effective heating pad. I dislike the fact that the light on the switch stays on even when the heat is turned off.”
Another customer enjoys using it but says they wish it had a larger surface area. They said: “I absolutely love it and wish I had bought it sooner to replace my wheat bag which would lose heat very quickly. I have chronic digestive issues and using the heating pad on my stomach has been a godsend. It gives me instant relief and can sleep without pain or cramps.
“It’s very easy to use, lovely design, very soft and heats up very quickly for instant relief. The only minor criticism I have, it would have been nice to have a slightly larger surface as the extra large version is too big. It would be nice to have a cover for it after use to store it and different color or design options I bought it in gray over the beige.
“I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy one to replace their hot water bottle which tends to have a shelf life and or microwavable wheat bag which gets cold very quickly. Thumbs up from me.”
