Fans are eager to know how to get there Fate 2The latest Exotic Class items as part of the Dual Destiny mission.

Bungie’s sci-fi shooter MMO just released its latest (and possibly last) expansion, Final shape. It concludes the Light and Dark Saga that began with the game’s first release in 2014.

As part of the latest content drop, players have returned to the game’s unique far-future universe, defeating new enemies, embarking on new intergalactic missions, and chasing down new super-powerful gear.

How to unlock The Final Shape’s Dual Destiny mission

Bungie

As part of Fate 2latest extension, Final shapeplayers can unlock a new set of Exotic Class items to equip in-game.

It can be a complicated process, but these new ultra-rare pieces of equipment can grant unique abilities, such as becoming invisible after finishing or giving the power to explode enemy corpses.

Final shape Exotic Class items are unlocked by completing the Dual Destiny quest in the new Pale Heart location.

Dual Destiny is not available immediately after completing a certain story or reaching a certain level. Players have to go through several steps before they can even take on a brand new mission in the game’s open world.

The first step is for players to take their guardians to the new Pale Heart location. From there, in the open world area, a public Overthrow event must be performed in the three areas of the target (The Landing, The Blooming, and The Passe).

This is like many public events in the game, but with a twist. Throw missions at players by killing wave after wave of enemies, opening chests and completing smaller objectives in the open world.

Once the event has escalated to level 3, a World Boss will appear, acting as one final test Final shapen new collaboration event.

As each undo boss is knocked down, text is read, “The Witch Queen’s Secret Keeper is near…” appears on the screen. This will cause a secret World Boss to appear in the area where the dump event was started. From there, players have five minutes to find and kill a secret super powerful enemy.

These final fell enemies appear in the same place in every area every time they spawn. Below is a list of where they can be found in each main area of The Pale Heart:

  • Landing: Inside the cave in the southeast corner of the map.
  • Flowers: In the area where the public event is organized. Inside the purple glowing cave on the east side of the area.
  • Impasse: In the southwest corner of the map near the lost sector of the area.

After all three Lucent Hive Wizards are defeated, a green light will appear on the map towards The Blooming. Players must follow the light and prepare for another combat encounter.

Arriving at the source of light, the Guardians encounter Dread enemies. To end the event, these powerful opponents should be continuously cut down until two orbs appear, one of light and one of darkness.

The following stages must be completed with an ally, so hopefully players have reached this point with a friend or two.

Each member of the duo must pick up one of the motes and traverse the intergalactic terrain towards the quest marker that should appear on their HUD.

These markers lead to the Guardian team’s cave, where pools are ready for each orb. Players with different energy spheres should deposit them into their own pools and create a ticket to officially start the Dual Destiny mission.

This also creates a navigation node so players don’t have to go through the steps to unlock the Dual Destiny quest every time, allowing for easy replayability.

Completing the Dual Destiny quest in final form

Once in Fate 2The Dual Destiny quest allows players to unlock extremely rare gear, including coveted Exotic Class items.

Dual Destiny works almost like a mini-Raid in Bungie’s first-person shooter.

It brings out the teamwork and complex coordination required in some of the game’s toughest encounters, distilling it into an experience that can (and must) be completed with just two people.

Most of the mission’s exact mechanics revolve around the Light and Dark player relaying certain information that can only be seen on their screen, or using the node they deposited at the beginning of the mission to damage unique enemies.

The mission is divided into three encounters: pattern puzzles, the clock room, and the final boss.

Glyphs

The glyph puzzles that players first encounter can be completed as Light and Dark pass patterns back and forth from each other. It works when each duo participating in Dual Destiny declares the patterns they see on the screen, and the other one shoots the corresponding symbol for theirs.

There are two pattern puzzles to complete to progress, and finally a firefight with unique enemies. This battle features light and dark shields (appearing as either white or black) that must be destroyed by the player who deposited the same node back before starting the mission.

Peal

Next is the clock room, where players shoot the same times on the clock to move on.

This puzzle must be completed three times and involves several firefights to enter.

Dual Destiny Boss Fight

Then comes the complex Dual Destiny boss encounter. This is a mechanic-heavy boss fight with short bursts of damage in between, so players should familiarize themselves before rushing in.

First, all you need to do is deal enough damage to the boss to start the next phase. Doing this spawns several Servile Wizards cloaked in the colored shields from before.

The light or dark player must kill each of these wizards whose shade matches the shade of their shield.

When they are dead, one of them Fate 2n emblems symbol call encounters begin. In this encounter, one player calls out symbols as they appear, while the other player shoots symbols onto their screen.

Completing this will trigger another confusing clock-based puzzle. Instead of simply shooting pairs of nodes at a clock face, two players must look at the clock and find which node matches on both screens. However, if they don’t do it fast enough, the clock will spin and reset after about five seconds.

Identifying a set of three matching pairs and firing them in quick succession allows for the final damage to the boss.

Getting Gear

After a tense final boss encounter, players get to choose whether to kill their partners or let them live. If the team has stopped shooting for now and chooses love over war, all they have to do is turn around after the last encounter and activate the “Love” token on the wall to complete the mission.

After killing or letting their partner walk away, each member of the Dual Destiny team will receive an exotic class item.

This quest can be replayed to get more guaranteed Exotic Class items and other armor pieces. Completing Dual Destiny also allows Exotic Class items to drop as part of the Pale Heart chest loot that has been seen all over the world.
