There’s some exciting news to share on the local music scene this week!
Global icon Daniel Bedingfield has announced a comeback tour in April to celebrate over 20 years since his best-selling debut album, ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, with Manchester being one of three upcoming dates.
Alongside this are show announcements from the decade-spanning Lightning Seeds, ska band Bad Manners, and Liverpool-born artist Banners.

Global pop icon Daniel Bedingfield has announced his UK live return in 2024 to celebrate over 20 years of classic album ‘Gotta Get Thru This’. His highly anticipated tour – his first since 2005 – will see Bedingfield revisit his chart-topping anthems that have soundtracked millions.
Kiwi born, South London raised Daniel Bedingfield is a multi-platinum award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer who became one of the most beloved pop artists of his generation. His debut album and Grammy nominated single, ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, became an instant international hit.

Banners – Band on the Wall, Manchester

English indie-pop act BANNERS, real name Michael Joseph Nelson, is known for his effervescent melodies and immensely relatable lyrics about the human condition. With Nelson’s latest full-length, ‘All Back to Mine’ out April 19, it’s safe to say he owns a market share in feel-good anthems streamlined to soundtrack your best life.
To kick off an exciting 2024, BANNERS is set to tour Europe and the UK this spring for a handful of headline shows.

Bad Manners – O2 Ritz, Manchester

British ska and two-tone band Bad Manners have announced a huge UK headline tour for November and December 2024.
Fronted by vocalist Buster Bloodvessel, Bad Manners are widely considered one of the best in British ska. Outrageous and enigmatic, they are known for their crazy antics and two-tone tracks. Rising to prominence during the late ‘70s ska revival movement, they quickly gained early exposure through 2-Tone Records package tours and an appearance in the live documentary Dance Craze.

Lightning Seeds – Albert Hall, Manchester

It’s been 35 years of pure joy for Lightning Seeds, one of the country’s most-loved bands. And to celebrate, they’re heading out on a massive 17-date UK tour and have lovingly put together a 20-track greatest hits album, ‘Tomorrow’s Here Today: 35 Years of Lightning Seeds’ – which is out October 4, 2024.
The new album has been regarded as an ‘absolute masterclass in modern pop songwriting’ from Ian Broudie. Kicking off with their classic debut single ‘Pure’, this is a greatest hits disc worthy of the title, from a band who have sold over eight million albums.

Jim Bob – Club Academy, Manchester

Former frontman of Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine, Jim Bob, is heading out on a UK tour this May.
Away from Carter, Jim Bob has released twelve solo albums, with the last two ‘Pop Up Jim Bob’ and ‘Who Do We Hate Today’ hitting the Top 40 charts. Alongside writing songs for Ian Drury and for a Barbican production of Mark Ravenhill’s ‘Dick Whittington & His Cat’, Jim Bob also made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2010 in the musical ‘Gutted, A Revenger’s Musical’.

Rising British artist Seb Lowe is bringing his incredible live show to more cities across England this spring.
Seb played shows across the UK for his first-ever headline tour last year and performed recent support slots with acclaimed artists Blossoms and Inhaler.
In September, Seb released his new single ‘Billionaire Extraordinaire’ – a euphoric indie pop song exploring the theme of the pressures young people face in modern life but also the uplifting message of facing these struggles together.
