Dame Joan Collins, the iconic Dynasty star, recently appeared on the BBC’s One Show to talk about her upcoming live show, Behind the Shoulder Pads, which will take place at London’s Adelphi Theatre. The 91-year-old actress looked as stunning as ever, with her flawless complexion stealing the limelight.
Despite being in the public eye for seven decades, Joan has maintained her youthful glow without resorting to Botox or other cosmetic procedures.
In a previous interview with The Mirror, she revealed her skincare secrets: “I don’t go to bed without taking off my make-up and putting on night cream. My mum made me and sister Jackie do it when we were 14.”
She also shared her pre-event and post-flight routine: “Before any big event and post-flight, I get a bowl of ice and cotton pads, cool the pads and put them on my eyes and then lie down for five minutes. It reduces puffiness and refreshes the eyes.”
Joan’s nightly skincare routine includes removing her make-up with a £5.50 Nivea cleanser and applying Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Night Cream, which retails for £35 at Charlotte Tilbury and Cult Beauty. Described as “beauty sleep in a decadent cream elixir”, this product is said to provide intense moisture to the skin throughout the night, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The product contains a blend of ingredients including plant stem cells, time-released retinol, coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E, which work together to create soft, dewy and plump skin in the morning. According to the brand, over 90 percent of beauty enthusiasts in a trial reported that their skin appeared and felt firmer.
Dame Joan isn’t the only one who loves Magic Night Cream. The “truly magical” product has received more than 1,430 five-star reviews on the Charlotte Tilbury website.
One customer said: “I’m so glad I bought this cream, it’s really magical. I put it on my face before I go to sleep and in the morning I look fresh and happy.”
Another commented: “I’m 58 and this night cream really is magic. I put it on every night before bed and every morning I wake up with plump, firm and glowing skin. I add some blush, gloss and mascara, Charlotte Tilbury, of course, and I’m ready for the day.”
Another user said: “I bought the night cream after trying a sample. I’ve spent tons of money on creams before that made all sorts of claims. This one delivers, my face is plumper and my skin just glows. I’m 62 – years old and I can see a very clear difference after using the night cream and also the eye cream.”
Mixed reviews have emerged for the Magic Night Cream, with one customer noting that it is “too heavy”. The reviewer explained: “I received a few samples of this night cream and I’m glad I decided to try it before I bought it because it’s not for me. The gel-like cream is thick. It felt heavy on my skin and left an oily Vaseline-like feel It took a very long time to absorb and I ended up washing it off.”
