Dalton Park Inn, on Seaham’s Ada Street, was given a one star hygiene rating in a recent review by the Food Standards Agency in an inspection.
Located at Ada Street East, in Murton, Dalton Park Inn was awarded a very low rating following an inspection on July 21.
Though food handling – including preparation, cooking, reheating, cooling and storage – was ranked “good”, other categories were not rated so well.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building – including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control- to enable good food hygiene – was deemed to be in need of improvement.
The management of food safety, including system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, was ranked in need of major improvement.
