Daish’s Holidays is investing over £1 million to refurbish over 100 rooms across all its hotels in preparation for the 2025 season.
The family-owned British coach holiday group plans to upgrade five of its 12 hotels over the winter.
This includes upgrades to the Esplanade Hotel in Scarborough, which Dash’s bought out of administration in 2020.
Refurbishments are also taking place at the Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay, the Imperial Hotel in Eastbourne, the Russell Hotel in Weymouth and Daish’s Hotel (pictured) on the Isle of Wight.
Renovations are scheduled to begin in early January 2025 and are intended to improve the guest experience.
In addition to the room repairs, a new elevator will be installed in the Abbey Lawn Hotel, the roof of the Dash’s Hotel conservatory will be renewed, and significant roof work will be done in the Imperial Hotel.
Paul Harper, Commercial Director of Daish’s Holidays, said: “This investment is not only about aesthetic upgrades but also about creating warm and welcoming spaces where our guests can feel at home while enjoying all that Daish has to offer.”
A number of improvements will also be made to the Sandringham Hotel, Daish’s latest acquisition, during its usual period of closure in January.
The group said it would apply for planning permission for a major investment and improvements to the hotel later this year.
Daish’s Group was founded in 1979 when Dash’s Hotel was bought on the Isle of Wight.
The group has hotels in ten popular tourist destinations in England and Wales and has its own fleet of luxury coaches to transport customers, with pick-up points stretching from Yorkshire to Cornwall.
