“This new UK-EU agreement is a big leap forward in securing the Continent’s economic and military future.
“But we must continue to build on this. As each other’s largest trading partners, closer UK-EU cooperation in financial and professional services is the key to unlocking the capital needed to rapidly scale up European innovation, growth and defence.
“Financial services are the engine of our economies, and the EU would benefit significantly from greater access to the UK’s deep capital markets. This will lead to security, prosperity, and growth, building a stable, prosperous future for citizens on both sides of the Channel.”
