Chris Hayward, Policy Chairman of the Corporation, said:

“The UK and US are global financial powerhouses — and this new Transatlantic Taskforce for Markets of the Future is a breakthrough in collaboration. It’s set to spark innovation, drive growth, and unlock new opportunities across both sides of the Atlantic.

“Enhanced regulatory collaboration on capital markets and digital assets is key. It would cut red tape for transatlantic firms — especially SMEs, fintechs, and insurers — making it easier to scale and succeed in both markets.

“The Corporation has long supported the work of the Financial Regulatory Working Group (FRWG). It’s part of our ongoing work with governments in London and Washington to tear down trade barriers and open doors for financial and professional services. Together, we can shape global standards and build resilient markets.”
