The festive season has well and truly arrived in London and there is nothing we love more than hunting down a bit of Christmas cheer. This year, we’ve got our eye on Fulham Pier, London’s newest riverside destination. From festive crafts (including beanie making!), to musical quizzes and kids raves – they have an action packed line-up of events for all ages and interests.
Fill up on festive cheer at these not to miss sing-along sessions
The fun all kicks off on November 20 at 5pm, with The Big Christmas Assembly, a free live performance headlined by James B. Partridge and local Fulham and Hammersmith school choirs. This Christmas Light Switch on is a free community celebration where singing along to your favourite Primary School Bangers is heavily encouraged. Expect plenty of festive food and drink on the side!
In the mood to keep those vocal chords warm? On December 4, put your knowledge (and singing) to the test at the Sounds Familiar Music Quiz Christmas Special. Go for the festive glory at this music quiz party featuring power ballads and Christmas bangers.
Catch a Christmassy concert or show
‘Tis the season to be jolly at these comedy nights on November 27 and December 18 or find some glitz and glamour at a cabaret night with a Christmas twist on November 21. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for some entertainment that encourages you to find your zen, opt for a breathwork by candlelight meditation on December 9. Finally, don’t miss a performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by twinkling candlelight on December 19, the perfect way to welcome in Christmas week.
Christmas gifting, sorted
If your Christmas shopping list is looking a little long, why not stop by this pop-up Christmas market on December 13 and 14. With gorgeous gifts and treats created by local makers, it’s the perfect spot to pick up last-minute presents (for loved ones, or yourself!) and support local businesses. The market will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm each day and is free to attend.
Get crafty this Christmas
Throughout the festive season, there will also be plenty of crafty sessions to get involved in at Fulham Pier. Perfect for anyone who wants to personalise a gift for their loved ones, or decorate their home with some festive flair. Across multiple dates, take part in wreath making, ceramic decoration making classes, as well as beanie knitting workshops and pottery lessons. Not to mention a fabulous paint and sip night right on the river on December 6!
What to eat and drink
It’s easy to work up an appetite amidst all the hustle and bustle, but don’t worry – you’ll find plenty of festive feasting to dig into at Fulham Pier. Limited-edition Christmas cocktails are on offer each day at the London Essence Cocktail Bar and so is a set menu of festive flavours at Brasserie Constance. Beyond that, there is a Pier & Pour by Candlelight event on December 11, where you can enjoy a curated tasting of different wines, led by a sommelier from Liberty Wines. On December 14, indulge in a Festive Champagne afternoon tea, where delicious patisseries, scones and savouries (accompanied by plenty of bubbles) are sure to take your mind off the Christmas preparations for a few hours.
Festive fun for the whole family
Need to keep the kids entertained over the Christmas holidays? We’ve got you. Why not join the kids rave on December 6 with snow and festive tunes (and a bar for the adults). But that’s not all, you can stop by Santa’s roller disco, festive story times, a Christmas-themed puppet show or one of the festive film nights. You definitely won’t want to miss Santa’s brunch on December 21, where the kids will be treated to plenty of treats and games – and perhaps a visit from Santa and his elves, too!
