What began as a lockdown passion project in 2020 has evolved into a fully-fledged Belgian chocolate bakery with a seriously devoted fanbase—and after visiting for brunch, it’s easy to see why.

Founded by friendly duo Marcin Matykiewicz and Rafal Smaszcz, the bakery has a beautiful backstory and an even better menu.

We sat outside on their sunny rear terrace, decorated with vibrant street art by Hunto, and for a moment it felt like we were on holiday.

Their passion really shines through, not only in the menu but in the atmosphere—relaxed, fun and full of flavour.

For brunch, we started with the Burrata Croffle, which came with rocket, spiced guacamole, balsamic glaze and 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano.

We added extra bacon, as recommended, and it was absolutely spot on—rich, creamy, slightly tangy, and satisfying without being too heavy.

To drink, we tried two of their matcha specials—the Strawberry Matcha and the White Chocolate Matcha—and both were standout.

No visit to Chocolate Dino Company would be complete without trying the baked goods, and we made sure to come hungry.

We split an Oreo cookie, a Red Velvet cookie, and their award-winning Biscoff Blondie.

The blondie was everything it promised to be—fudgy, caramelly, and subtly spiced with coffee.

We rounded everything off with a classic iced coffee, brewed using beans from Volcano Coffee Works in Brixton—smooth, strong and refreshing.

And that’s what makes Chocolate Dino Company special.

Find them at 36 Kennington Rd, London SE1 7BJ or explore the full menu at chocolatedinocompany.co.uk

From the thoughtful sourcing of ingredients including Callebaut Belgian couverture chocolate to the warm, genuine service, this is more than just a bakery—it’s a labour of love.

It’s clear that Marcin and Rafal have poured their hearts into creating a space that’s welcoming, vibrant and completely delicious.

Whether you’re stopping by for a sweet treat, sitting down for a lazy weekend brunch, or grabbing coffee to go, this spot delivers.

Chocolate Dino Company is officially on our must-visit list—and if you’ve got even the smallest sweet tooth, it should be on yours too.
