Donald Glover has canceled the remaining dates on his Childish Gambino tour including dates in the UK. The actor and musician now has surgery scheduled for his health issues.

The New World tour would head to the UK in November and early December to perform on the biggest stages in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, as well as Dublin, Ireland. The 41-year-old did not specify what the health problem was.

It comes after Glover postponed the remainder of his North American tour last month to focus on his “physical health.”

“After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to check on an ailment that had become apparent,” Glover said in a statement on X on Friday, Oct. 4.

“After being assessed, it became clear that I would not be performing that night, and after more tests, I was unable to complete the rest of the US tour at the time I requested. As of now, I have scheduled surgery and need time out for to heal.”

However, he said his road to recovery is “something I have to confront seriously”.

“I want nothing more than to give this show to the fans and perform.

“Until then, thank you for the love, integrity and support.”

Five-time Grammy winner Glover retired his stage name Childish Gambino in July of this year after releasing his final album, Bando Stone & The New World.

The tour would serve as American rapper Glover’s final farewell to Childish Gambino.
