Like many of the show’s participants, the young Nigerian man met his American lover, Rayne Hernandez, online. Chidi adored Rayne and treated her with the utmost respect, causing her to develop strong feelings for Rayne. Rayne, who had experienced painful breakups in the past, appreciated Chidi’s kindness towards her. However, she found it unusual that Chidi never complimented her looks despite sharing intimate pictures with her.

Finally, Chidi confessed his illness to Rayne and revealed that he was blind. His confession only comforted Rayne as she realized that he loved her for her heart, not her looks. Rayne was also relieved because she was insecure about her physical appearance. He considered it positive that Chidi did not see him she wouldn’t have to worry about her appearance in front of him. That’s why Rayne traveled to Nigeria to give her relationship with Chidi a chance. However, his trip did not go well due to the couple’s cultural and personality differences.

He experienced excruciating pain and eventually lost his sight. During the presentation, Chidi revealed that he only saw a partial, blurred image and occasionally perceived colors. Although she accepted her condition, she sought medical advice about a possible cure in order to have a better future with Rayne. Unfortunately the doctor confirmed that he was permanently blind due to the severity of his condition.

Although Chidi is religious, she is open-minded and never imposes her own beliefs on Rayneshows great respect for his view of the world.

Fans may have noticed that Rayne sees the world in a unique way compared to others. He is not religious, but believes in conspiracy theories such as aliens and the Illuminati. He even wants to make Chidi embrace his beliefs. Despite this, Chidi has always treated Rayne with love and respect. She smiled through their heated conversations and didn’t let his controversial beliefs discourage him from dating her. His unwavering belief in love makes him an excellent partner and a man who would make a wonderful husband for any woman.

When Rayne introduced herself on the show, she seemed genuine and caring towards Chidi. However, it didn’t take long for his true colors to show, proving those who believed in him wrong. His troubled personality became more and more apparent with each episode. Despite this, Chidi stayed by his side and showed him nothing but love.

He proved to be more mature than his older American girlfriend as he did not engage in arguments and let her do the talking, showing excellent communication skills and commendable patience. Unfortunately, Rayne took advantage of her kindness.

Chidi needs a partner who truly appreciates her

Most viewers who have watched Chid and Rayne’s journey 90 day fiance the spin-off would agree that they are not a good match. Rayne is self-centered and narcissistic and shows little respect for others. He often does everything himself, even if it is not important to him. In contrast, Chidi is Rayne’s opposite. He is polite and respectful, allow others to express themselves and speak only when necessary.

Chidi deserves a much better girlfriend, someone who appreciates her. In recent episodes, Rayne has proven to be a terrible partner who doesn’t care about Chidi’s feelings. He has shown complete disregard for her well-being, causing her distress with her loud claims despite knowing the effect on her mental and physical state. Chidi deserves someone who shares her beliefs and is committed to building a future with her.
