We’re already over halfway through January, and as the winter blues get stronger, you may be in need of a pick-me-up.

Gaz Coombes – Band on the Wall, Manchester

Gaz Coombes has announced he will be playing a headline show at Manchester’s Band on the Wall. The gig comes as the end of his first solo UK live tour of 2024.

Gaz’s acclaimed latest solo album ‘Turn The Car Around’ debuted at number six in the UK Official Album Charts, marking his highest charting solo record to date. Regarded as the best work of his illustrious career, the album both tapped into sonic palettes and lyrical themes of it’s predecessors – completing an informal trilogy of albums with 2015’s Mercury and Ivor Novello nominated ‘Matador’ and 2018’s ‘World’s Strongest Man’.

Porij – Canvas, Manchester

Porij have announced their much-anticipated debut album, ‘Teething’, set for release April 26. The four piece, who have carevd a niche at the forefront of queer-led dance-pop, have also confirmed a string of UK dates.

With warm-up slots for Metronomy, Coldplay and Friendly Fires, alongside their own crowd-igniting shows, Porij have been met with a landslide of attention at press and radio, lauded as “ones to watch” by tastemakers including The Guardian, NME and BBC 6 Music.

Simple Minds – AO Arena, Manchester

Following the huge success of their rapturously received ‘40 Years Of Hits Tour’ in 2022, Simple Minds are heading out on the UK and Ireland leg of their global tour this March, joined by special guests Del Amitri.

The Australian Pink Floyd – O2 Apollo, Manchester

With over 30 years of history, and widely regarded as the ‘world’s biggest, best and greatest Pink Floyd tribute show’, The Australian Pink Floyd will once again bring impressive lighting and video, pinpoint lasers, gargantuan inflatables and flawless live sound to deliver a memorable live experience that was the benchmark of Pink Floyd shows.

The 33-date 2024 UK tour will celebrate all the greatest hits of Pink Floyd.

Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics – AO Arena, Manchester

DJ, broadcaster and global dance music legend Pete Tong will set out on his critically acclaimed Ibiza Classics this December for a brand new show. He will once again be joined by long time collaborator Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra.

Ibiza Classics has firmly cemented itself as part of the live music calendar becoming the world’s most iconic orchestral electronic music event. Celebrating the legacy of dance music, the new live show will include a host of special guest DJs and singers showcasing stunning reimagines of timeless classic house tracks.

Bellowhead – The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester

In 2004, Bellowhead burst onto the British folk scene like nothing before or since. Famously conjured up by duo Spiers & Boden whilst sitting in a traffic jam, they roped in friends, and friends of friends until the big band was born.

In their early years, Bellowhead played to hundreds of thousands of people at festivals and on tour and were regularly lauded as “one of the country’s greatest live outfits”. They set out on their next UK tour this November.
