It’s neither Secret nor in London, but try to stop me from talking about Primavera Sound. It was already arguably the best festival in the world, even better than that one, but now it’s lined up the most exciting, 2024-friendly acts imaginable for next year’s edition in Barcelona – when was the last time Glastonbury has a line-up this good?
A triple-hitter of Charli XCX, Chappell Roan AND Sabrina Carpenter will all be heading to Spain from June 5 to 7, 2025 to headline. As one person commented on today’s announcement (October 24), “THIS IS FOR THE GIRLIES AND THE GAYS”. But there’s really something for everyone – from Idols to Jamie xx, LCD Soundsystem and FKA Twigs.
The line-up consists of 144 artistswhich also features Amelie Lens, Beach House ANOHNI and the Johnsons, Gloating Points, Fontaines DC, Clairo and many more. You may notice something pretty special about all the artists too. Since 2019, Primavera Sound has committed to a gender-balanced line-upwhich it achieves again here.
Last year, Primavera Sound saw 268,000 people travel from 134 countries around the world to attend the festival. So you’ll hardly be the odd one out travelling from London. Based at Forum Park in Barcelona, you will need to remember to book a hotel or other accommodation for Primavera Sound (because this isn’t a camping festival!)
The 23rd edition of Primavera Sound Barcelona will be even bigger in 2025 – with a full festival ticket costing €295 and a VIP ticket for €495. Registration will close on October 27 at 23:59h CET (which will actually be 21:59h GMT because the clocks go back on Sunday). You will receive an email with the instructions to buy on October 28.
