The OG Party Girl headlined Lido Festival on Saturday (June 14), closing a day of big-name collaborators and emerging talent she curated herself.
Hoards of neon green-clad festivalgoers had descended on Victoria Park earlier in the day, and while many were – unsurprisingly – fans of Charli’s picks, it was her set that everyone was waiting for.
The anticipation was palpable and the crowds were immense, with some fans securing their spot more than an hour before Charli XCX came on stage.

Finally, lights, super-fast techno beats and smoke marked the start of the party – but it all went black before a ripped up, scribbled out brat curtain dropped from the top of the stage.
Cue the screaming.
This was the start of brat summer 2.0 and Charli was giving us permission to party forever.
365 kicked off the set list – with the crowd never tiring of shouting “bumpin’ that” – followed by other brat favourites like 360, Von dutch and Club classics.
The atmosphere was electric, with Charli commanding the whole of Lido to move as one while strutting around the stage in her green bra top and black hotpants.

While she also played older hits like Unlock it (Lock It) and Party 4 u, the singer made it clear she was bringing back brat: halfway through she asked the crowd “do I just drag it out, is it a brat summer again?”
The answer was, obviously, yes.

Many fans were expecting her to bring out guests – whispers spread about brat collaborators Addison Rae or Lorde – but this was Charli’s day anyway.

She had already brought Swedish rapper Bladee to Lido itself as part of the festival’s lineup, and he then joined her on stage for the Rewind remix – after some initial technical issues where the original version of the song was played.
Amelia Dimoldenberg of Chicken Shop fame was also caught on camera performing the viral TikTok dance for Apple.
Charli’s set finished – albeit 20 minutes earlier than scheduled – with 2012 banger I Love It, followed by messages on the stage’s screen declaring that brat “wasn’t just a summer thing” but a “forever thing”.
Her message asked: “Will you hate me if I stick around?”
Charli, we were only at this party 4 u.
