The Diwali Weekend at Wembley Park
This year’s Diwali festivities will be Wembley Park’s most ambitious to date–a three-day, free-to-attend programme running across various venues in the neighbourhood. Expect an electric lineup of top-notch performances, from fire dancers and Bollywood favourites to classical Indian music. There will even be interactive workshops and cultural showcases, transforming Wembley into fabulous festival grounds for a fantastic Diwali.
Highlights from the event include high-energy performances from BollyRed Dance Company and the ‘Diwali Utsav: A Celebration of South Asian Arts’ festival at the Sound Shell stage on Olympic Way. An incredible lineup of artists from across South Asian communities worldwide will take to the stages and streets all weekend long.
As well as all this, visitors will be able to explore Market Square, featuring street food, arts & crafts and offerings from local traders. Another beloved highlight is the lantern-making workshops, with the lanterns later used in a magical parade of lights and art.
