During Deck Med in season 9, Ellie talked about working as head stew. He expressed interest in rising up the show’s sailing hierarchy, but expressed a different sentiment online. May 8, 2023 Ellie stated that he was “I am officially retiring from my sailing career” after working in the field for almost seven years. It’s unclear when season 9 was filmed, but it is speculates that the show wrapped cameras in the summer of 2023, hinting that he may not have retired from filming.

It would make sense that she left her career as a flight attendant but decided to appear on the show if she was a crop producer. When Carrie O’Neill was added to the crew and Aesha used her as a floating stew, the other stew feared that she would replace her in their hierarchy. Ellie wanted to keep her position as second stew, though he admitted to quitting sailing on Instagram months before the series.

After joining Aesha’s decorating team, Ellie was another stew. He was incredibly excited to work with Aesha and appreciated her new rank in Mustique. As the season begins, Ellie mentors Bri Muller, the third stew. She especially struggled with her daily tasks, although her biggest faults were mostly in the laundry room. Bri and Ellie stayed as bedfellows and They had a good relationship until the third stew hooked the main Joe Bradley after drinking with the crew.

Before they connected, Ellie told Bri that she was interested in Joe and was excited to get to know him.


However, when they shared a kiss in the hot tub, the crew were fresh and hadn’t known each other for too long. Bri thought that Ellie had no right to keep Joe to herself, but she didn’t anticipate the backlash that would come her way because of their kiss. After their steamy night Ellie began to treat the third stew differently. They clashed anyway and almost lost their jobs at Mustique because of their argument.

Bri and Ellie’s drama was pointless. Neither of them knew or were loyal to Joe. Bri was wrong to ignore Ellie’s feelings, but her punishment didn’t fit her crime. In the heat of the moment, Bri thought that the other stew wouldn’t stop cleaning the cabins on a hectic day so she could get more work. They got into a heated exchange and Ellie tried to use her position as another stew to assert power over Bri.

They finally squashed their beef when he heard Joe singing about which stew he was going to choose. Bri and Ellie both had enough of Joe’s antics by the end of the season, but too bad they couldn’t put their differences aside sooner in Deck Med season 9. She didn’t understand why the inner team needed new hands, even though Aesha claimed that Bri and Ellie didn’t get any help all season.

Aesha didn’t give Carrie an official rank when she joined the crew, but she admitted in her confessional interviews that she easily beat the other two stews with her experience. Instead, he used her as a floating stew and asked her to help out in the service to gauge his work style. Feeling somewhat threatened by Carrie, Ellie told Aesha that she felt like their third wheel and didn’t want to be demoted because of the new salary.


When Aesha faced the third stew, she was firm with him and explained if she was going to move him to the third stew, it was her decision. Ellie didn’t expect that reaction from him and admitted that she thought she had earned her second stew rank. Aesha was right though; he knew Ellie wanted to be head stew but fighting with his boss was a bad call so late in the season.

Ellie’s behavior has shown that she may have been a producer factory Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9. He joined the cast of season 7 as one order, hinting that he had a pre-established relationship with the production. Ellie also started more drama than was necessary, although that may have been her job all along.
